Britanske rock ikone The Stranglers stižu u Cave Romane! 🎸

Spektakularna sezona evenata u organizaciji 24sata i ImagisEvent otvara se nastupom legendarnog benda The Stranglers.

🔥 The Stranglers, jedan od najdugovječnijih i najutjecajnijih bendova proizašlih iz britanske pub rock scene, stiže u Cave Romane 8.7.2025. godine. Utemeljeni 1974. godine, The Stranglers su bili jedan od ključnih bendova na koje se naslanjala britanska punk i novovalna scena u drugoj polovici 70-ih. Na bend su u počecima karijere uvelike utjecali The Doors i psihodelija, što je vidljivo na njihovom prvom albumu „Rattus Norvegicus“. Zahvaljujući svom beskompromisnom stavu, kojim prokazuju negativne pojave globalnog društva, eksperimentirajući s raznim glazbenim pravcima, stvorili su vlastiti zvuk po kojem su jedinstveni. 

Njihova glazba spaja energiju punka, eleganciju art rocka, psihodelične teksture i melodije koje traju desetljećima. Kao predgrupa  nastupit će zagrebačka post-punk/dark rock grupa Phantasmagoria, kultno ime hrvatske underground scene, poznata po svojim mračnim i energičnim nastupima. Publiku će provesti kroz svoju diskografiju s pjesmama poput „Alex“, „Poziv u raj“, „Ja gledam svojim očima“, ali i novijim hitovima „Broken Mirror“ i „Ode To The End Of The World“. U Istru se vraćaju prvi put nakon gotovo 20 godina, a ovaj će nastup biti i ispunjenje stare želje – budući da je njihov zajednički koncert sa Stranglersima 1993. u Opatiji bio otkazan.

Koncert počinje u 21 sat, ulaz je moguć od 18 sati.

A spectacular season of events organized by 24sata and ImagisEvent kicks off with a performance by the legendary band The Stranglers.

🔥 The Stranglers, one of the longest-running and most influential bands to emerge from the British pub rock scene, will perform at Cave Romane on July 8th, 2025. Formed in 1974, The Stranglers were one of the key bands that paved the way for the British punk and new wave scene in the second half of the 1970s. Early in their career, they were heavily influenced by The Doors and psychedelia, which can be heard on their debut album Rattus Norvegicus.

Thanks to their uncompromising attitude—calling out the negative aspects of global society—and their experimentation with various musical styles, they created a unique sound all their own. Their music blends elements of punk, new wave, psychedelia, pop, and art rock.

Their music blends punk energy with art rock elegance, psychedelic textures, and timeless melodies. This will be a rare opportunity to hear their greatest hits live: “𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻”, “𝗡𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀”, “𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀”, “𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻”, “𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽”, “𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴” – songs that shaped generations and left a lasting mark on the global rock scene. ⚡

Opening for The Stranglers will be Zagreb’s post-punk/dark rock band Phantasmagoria, a cult name on the Croatian underground scene, known for their dark and powerful live performances. The band will take the audience on a journey through their discography with songs like “Alex”, “Poziv u raj”, “Ja gledam svojim očima”, as well as newer tracks such as “Broken Mirror” and “Ode To The End Of The World”. This will mark their return to Istria for the first time in nearly 20 years, fulfilling a long-awaited wish — as their joint concert with The Stranglers in Opatija in 1993 was cancelled.

The concert starts at 9 PM, entry will be possible from 6 PM.
