Makarska će i ove godine ugostiti Europsko prvenstvo u ragbiju 7 za muškarce i žene, koje će se održati u lipnju. Za razliku od prošle godine, ovogodišnje izdanje okupit će reprezentacije iz Trophy i Championship divizije – dviju najviših razina natjecanja koje se ove sezone igraju u sklopu Rugby Europe. Hrvatska će nastupiti u Trophy diviziji te ponovno pokušati ostvariti rezultat koji bi joj osigurao plasman u Championship sljedeće godine. U Championshipu će nastupiti najjače europske reprezentacije poput Irske, Francuske, Velike Britanije, Španjolske, Italije, Gruzije....
