KONTRAPUNKT needs no special introduction. EDDY RAMICH, supported by Tanzen Kollektiv returns to the original crime scene at Aquarius Klub to celebrate 20th birthday of the most influential electronic music program Zagreb ever had. A fresh sound flavor of this vintage club brand that raised so many generations of clubbers who still dance with us.

Alex Barck’s rise to world fame was as a member of Jazzanova in the late 90’s. Also as the A&R manager at Berlin based label Sonar Kollektiv he was, and still is, responsible for some of the finest ever releases, spanning the horizons from soulful Pop to witty Dance music. His first gigs were at the Club Akbar Lounge followed by the infamous Delicious Doughnuts. Only ten years after his beginnings he has played at almost every renowed club as the likes of Tokyo’s Yellow to Zouk in Singapore, Trouw in Amsterdam, Goa in Madrid, Dachkantine in Zurich, Plastic People in London, Elephant Festival in Croatia, and of course the Berlin landmarks WMF, Cookies, Weekend, Watergate and Panorama Bar – just to name a few. He has also played alongside an endless list of luminaries including Francois K., Gilles Peterson, Norman Cook, Andrew Weatherall, Carl Craig and Basement Jaxx.

Pablo Valentino is a talented French DJ from East France and has been djing since 1997. A well travelled and very knowledgeable music collector, Pablo loves to play across the board be it jazz, funk, boogie, disco, house, techno to hip-hop, if it has soul there are no boundaries as Pablo creates unique musical patterns as he explores music with feeling and soul past, present and future. Pablo is the founder of FACES Records – featuring releases from Simbad and Danilo Plessow’s Motor City Drum Ensemble/Inverse Cinematics aliases – and releasing 12”s under his Creative Swing Alliance, Kid Swing and Hipster Wonkaz pseudonyms.

EDDY RAMICH is one of Croatia’s long time veteran’s in the eclectic and house scene. He has greatly influenced the development of festivals in Croatia, making him one of the key figures in the Southeast European dance music scene.

Founder of the Kontrapunkt club-night series at Aquarius, one of the longest running club nights in Zagreb, Eddy brought the very first acid jazz, brokenbeat, soulful / deep house artists to Croatia. Big shots like Theo Parrish, Carl Craig, Gilles Peterson, 4hero, Martyn, Azymuth, Jazzanova, Zed Bias,….etc made Zagreb crowd dance for more than 15 years. Also as a DJ on legendary Zagreb’s radio station 101, Eddy hosted his two shows for 18 years, offering listeners fresh selection, playing house into broken beats all the way to obscure jazz.
