Proljeće. 1. svibnja, produženi vikend.

Već na trajektu upoznaješ zanimljive ljude. Proizvode svoj sapun. Grade kuće od konoplje. Uzgajaju avokado.

Silaziš s trajekta. Imaju ljudi pravo: otok je najljepši van ljeta. Stvarno je sve zeleno. I nema gužve kao u sezoni.

Posjećuješ ekološku farmu koja proizvodi svoju hranu, vodu, energiju. Toče ti vino.

Hraniš ovce. Čistiš plažu. Pomažeš u dječjoj radionici. Onda pojedeš fini otočni obrok.

Sudjeluješ na radionici o prirodnoj gradnji, jestivom samoniklom bilju ili pretvaranju otpadnog ulja u dizel. Slušaš predavanje o životu bez plastike.

Čitav dan te prati muzika, a navečer je super koncert. Svi su tu.

Sve ovo je besplatno - jedino što traže je da kupiš sadnicu drveta da negiraš svoj ugljični otisak.

Nakon Green Island Festivala, otok ostaje čišći i, zahvaljujući tebi, s više drveća. Nosiš sa sobom znanje i inspiraciju.

It's spring. May 1st. An extended weekend.

You meet interesting people already at the ferry. They produce their own soap. Build houses from hemp. Grow avocados.

You're off the ferry. The people are right! The island is the prettiest outside of summer. Everything is green. It's much less crowded.

You visit an ecological farm that produces its own food, water and energy. They welcome you in. Pour you wine.

You feed the sheep. Clean the beach. Help with the kids workshop. A fine island lunch is served.

You participate in workshops: edible plants, green building, turning waste cooking oil into diesel. You attend a lecture about life without plastics.

You listen to their music the entire day. There's a concert in the evening. Everybody you've seen on the island is here.

All of this is free - they're only asking you to buy a tree seedling to offset your carbon footprint.

After Green Island Festival the island is cleaner and, thanks to you, has more trees. You're back on the mainland full of knowledge and inspiration. The festival echoing in your head and in your heart.
